Six limited releases arrive at TailGate Brewery on Friday, October 23, bringing back a few familiar favorites and introducing some pretty interesting new flavors.
October has a lot going on around here.
Fall festivities are in full swing, Halloween is right around the corner, and our brewers have been working on a few things of their own.
Six things, actually.
This Friday, October 23, we're releasing six limited beers and ciders, ranging from rich peanut butter stout and caramel apples to tropical fruit, marshmallows, and something mysteriously blue.
We've got returning favorites, a new chapter in the Maltiverse, and three SHNACK releases that cover just about every craving imaginable.
There's a little bit of everything you'd expect from October. And a few things you probably wouldn't.
Here's what's dropping.
The Lineup:
Peanut Butter Milk Stout
5.2% ABV | 12 oz. six-pack | $12.99
We're bringing back an old favorite, and the timing couldn't be better.
Peanut Butter Milk Stout is a Nashville staple and one of Tennessee's most heavily awarded beers. It's a medium-bodied stout with rich notes of chocolate, roasted coffee, and plenty of peanut butter.
Smooth, balanced, and packed with flavor, it's everything we love about a good milk stout.
As the weather starts cooling down, a rich, chocolatey stout sounds pretty good to us.
Not that we've ever needed an excuse.
LORE: Nectarmancer Hazy IPA
6% ABV | 16 oz. four-pack | $17.99
Something's happening beyond the Gate.
Our latest LORE release introduces the Nectarmancer, another character in the ever-expanding Maltiverse surrounding our Wizards' Order IPA.
We're not giving too much away here. But if you've been following the story, you'll probably want to catch up on this one.
As for the beer, Nectarmancer Hazy IPA opens with aromas of mango nectar and fresh orange zest. Intense tropical fruit flavors are balanced by subtle notes of bread and caramel, a medium body, and just enough bitterness to round everything out.
Every LORE Series release is part of one interconnected story, with new characters, mysteries, and developments unfolding with each beer.
SHNACK: Strawberry Rice Crispy
4.5% ABV | 12 oz. four-pack | $13.99
We're getting into the sweet stuff.
SHNACK: Strawberry Rice Crispy takes a familiar childhood treat and gives it the TailGate treatment.
This full-bodied ale brings together bright, tart strawberry, fluffy marshmallow, and real crispy rice treats for a dessert-inspired beer that's equal parts fruity and nostalgic.
And yes, there are actual crispy rice treats in this beer.
Our SHNACK Series has always been a place for experimenting with candy, desserts, snacks, and flavors that don't typically end up in a beer can.
This one feels especially appropriate for a month dedicated to collecting sweets.
Although we'd recommend keeping this particular treat out of the trick-or-treat bowl.
SHNACK: Blue Coconut Crush (Gluten Free)
5.2% ABV | 12 oz. four-pack | $13.99 | Gluten-Free
Apparently, it's October. Anyway, here's something tropical!
SHNACK: Blue Coconut Crush is our newest gluten-free creation, featuring a crisp lemon-lime soda base and a splash of blue coconut.
If that combination reminds you of a certain blue drink from your favorite drive-in, you're on the right track.
Light, carbonated, and refreshing, it's essentially a beach day in a can.
Is a tropical drink the first thing that comes to mind in late October? Probably not.
But we're not exactly known for sticking to a theme.
Caramel Apple Cider

A little something for the fall festivities.
We're giving our flagship semi-sweet TailGate Cider a seasonal twist with Caramel Apple Cider.
Made with Washington State apples, this release combines crisp apple flavor with rich caramel sweetness, inspired by a freshly dipped caramel apple.
It's smooth, refreshing, and just sweet enough, with plenty of apple flavor coming through.
All the flavors of a fall festival, without the sticky hands.

She's back.
And based on how quickly this one has disappeared in the past, we have a feeling you already know what to do.
SHNACK: TailGate Blast returns with its signature blend of tart lime juice and tropical fruit flavors.
Bright, refreshing, a little tart, and packed with flavor, this gluten-free favorite has developed quite the following.
You all have made it pretty clear that you can't get enough of this one.
So we brought it back. Just don't expect it to hang around forever.

All six releases hit TailGate taprooms Friday, October 23. As always, these are limited releases, and some have a habit of disappearing faster than expected.
