TailGateFest Brings Oktoberfest-Inspired Fall Pop-Ups to Three TailGate Taprooms

Germantown, Murfreesboro and Chattanooga transform for a fall-long celebration featuring specialty menus and seasonal drinks.

TailGateFest is now open at TailGate Brewery Germantown, Murfreesboro and Chattanooga, bringing an Oktoberfest-inspired takeover to all three taprooms from September 3 through October 25.

Each participating taproom is putting its own spin on the celebration, so no two TailGateFest stops are exactly the same. Grab your crew, pick a taproom, and come celebrate with us!

Across the three taprooms, guests will find seasonal additions including beer cheese Garlic Knockers, giant pretzels, brats, TailGateFest Pizza and a full specialty drink menu built for fall. Each location also features its own specialty (peanut butter on a brat anyone?)brat and spritz.

And, obviously, there is lager.

TailGate’s year-round Lager Projekt Munich Helles sits at the center of TailGateFest. It’s our core lager, brewed with a pretty simple philosophy: do it the traditional way, do it really well, and don’t cut corners. Lager Projekt follows the Reinheitsgebot, the traditional German beer purity standard, using only the ingredients that belong in the beer.

That same approach carries into our rotating Slow Bier series, where our brewery team gets to explore other traditional (not just German) lagers and beers made with the same attention to process. These are some of the best beers we make!

The beer lineup will keep evolving throughout the run, including the debut of our seasonal Festbier on September 25. We’re also pouring our Radler at every TailGateFest location, blending Lager Projekt with our house-made Nashville Lemonade for our take on the classic German beer-and-lemonade combination. Light, crisp and built for drinking outside with a giant pretzel nearby.

And the celebration doesn’t stop with the beer. In October, we’ll host Oktober Days, a weekend-long TailGateFest celebration built around good beer, yard games and the start of fall. We’ll tap a special firkin of Oaked Lager Projekt at each of the three taprooms, break out the games and hopefully welcome in some cooler weather along with it.

The physical transformation itself is part of the fun.

TailGate's in-house teams designed and installed the pop-ups across all three taprooms, using oversized banners, seasonal graphics and the full might of our creative & maintenance teams to turn existing brewery spaces into something completely different for a few weeks.

It's part beer festival, part neighborhood hangout and part excuse to eat a brat and drink a beer in September & October.
