TailGate Brewery Launches LORE, a New IPA Series Built Around Wizards’ Order IPA

Even the TailGate truck has a role to play. In this world, it marks the mysterious Gate and the sigil adopted by the Wizards’ Order.

Wizards’ Order is getting bigger.

Today we’re officially launching LORE, a new rotating series of taproom-only IPAs that digs deeper into the world, characters and beer behind our flagship Wizards’ Order IPA.

Wizards’ Order started with a pretty simple goal: make a modern, juicy IPA we were really proud of. But like a lot of things at TailGate, we kept pulling on the thread. The beer developed a world around it. There was the Brewmage. The Gate. Hopreach Grove. The Underforge. Characters, artifacts and stories started showing up alongside the beer.

LORE gives us a place to explore all of it.

A New IPA Every Month

The LORE Series will feature a rotating lineup of IPAs available through our taprooms, with each release giving our brewery team a chance to explore a different hop, ingredient, process or approach to IPA.

The beer changes. The story moves forward with it.

Our first release is LORE: Hoptographer Hazy IPA, available in all taprooms today.

Hoptographer is a 6% Hazy IPA brewed with Strata, Riwaka and Citra hops, bringing big aromas and flavors of peach, grapefruit, orange zest, stone fruit and a little strawberry.

The Hoptographer is one of the Order’s original founders and one of the Brewmage’s closest collaborators, responsible for documenting the lands, hops and strange changes surrounding the Gate.

That story will continue to grow alongside future releases.
